$114,960.00 Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits

*Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range.  Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Distribution Operations Center Systems to ensure 24/7/365 system availability for Operators to monitor and operate the electric system in support of the Cooperative’s Strategic Initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire DOC operating systems lifecycle (Design, Implementation, and Maintenance)
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with systems hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Implement/Maintain best practices security measures to protect the DOC systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats coordinating with IT and Cybersecurity
  • Track system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee DOC-related projects, including upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
  • Primary Liaison with vendors, contractors, and support networks for product procurement, support, maintenance, and upgrades tracking project milestones
  • Maintain accurate documentation of the DOC systems, including schematics, procedures, and configurations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including engineers, operators, and management.
  • Ensure the DOC systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations including NERC, FERC, ERCOT, and PUCT
  • Act as the bridge between project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and swift resolution of technical issues for seamless project execution
  • Contribute to internal process improvement initiatives within the DOC team including Operator Training Simulators and other Resources
  • Maintain the security of confidential information
  • Stay abreast of advances in technology
  • Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related field
  • Directly related experience may substitute for education
  • Five years related work experience, including three years of supervisory experience
  • Valid Texas driver’s license
