$70,000.00 Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits
*Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range. Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing routine technical work, applying established techniques and procedures to perform engineering tasks under the direction and supervision of a senior engineer in support of the Cooperative’s Strategic Initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate substation physical, protection and control design (stated in the position summary)
- Operate computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment
- Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications of substation design to become familiar with standards and customer requirements Perform detailed calculations to define and establish manufacturing, construction and installation standards and specifications
- Confer with engineers, customers and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products
- Investigate customer or public complaints, determine nature and extent of problem and recommend solutions
- Research technical specifications
- Review construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
- Maintain the security of confidential information
- Stay abreast of advances in technology
- Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering field
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
